Questions to Ask before Choosing a MedSpa

So, you’ve been to normal spas, you’ve had facials, you’ve tried strict regiments and anti-aging creams, and none of it has satisfied you. You want to try the next step in anti-aging treatment, a MedSpa. Doing so is quite a commitment, though; no invasive treatment is 100% safe, and you want to be sure that you are getting the highest quality care and the safest option. To that end, here are some important questions to ask before choosing your MedSpa.

Do They Offer Free Consultations?

This is an important question to ask upfront. Many of the other questions can be asked of one of the professionals once you’re in the office, but make sure you ask the front desk attendant if you’re offered a free consultation. If not, there is a strong likelihood that the place is a “Botox Farm,” designed to get you in and out as efficiently as possible, and not the highest quality of care.

Is the doctor On-Site?

A MedSpa in Peachtree City , as with many (but not all) states in the country, is required to have a licensed physician on-staff. They are not required, however, to have the doctor on-site at all times, and some Medspas have a physician that simply comes in to consult once a week. You want a MedSpa that has the highest quality of care, and you want a doctor that is available at all times, including during and after your procedure.

What Are the Medical Aesthetician’s Qualifications?

Oftentimes, the actual person administering your treatment will not be the doctor on-site, but medical aesthetician. This isn’t an issue in and of itself, as there are rigorous training programs that go into becoming a medical aesthetician, but it is important to ask about their qualifications. Find out what program licensed them, and make sure it is accredited.

How Have Previous Patients Fared?

Ask if the MedSpa can provide you with references or testimonials. Ask if they have before and after pictures that you can inspect. Ask about potential and past side effects they’ve dealt with. You won’t have been their first customer, so take advantage of the fact that others have been here before you.

There are a couple further things to consider, even after you’ve asked your questions of them. After your consultation, ask yourself a few things. Did the ambience feel right? Did it feel like a spa or just an office trying to churn you through? How professional was the staff? Did you feel like they were trying to sell you really hard on any particular treatments? After this, if you feel comfortable, then congratulations, you’ve found the right MedSpa for you.
