Emergency Pet Rescue Saves Hurt Or Sick Strays

There is no doubt that there are more cats and dogs in our community than there are safe and secure homes for them. That cute little kitten grows up to be a cat and that adorable puppy demands a lot of work. He isn’t so cute when he’s chewing your best shoes. An animal is a responsibility and a commitment. Many people unfortunately view pets as disposable and when their interest wanes, the animal is the one that suffers. Thankfully, for the sake of the animals, the Humane Society of Huron Valley is there to help all the animals that it can, by giving food, shelter and veterinary care, and by finding loving and permanent homes, when possible.

Living on the street can be a hard life for anyone, but for a cat or dog, it’s almost impossible. Without food, shelter or protection, dangers are all around. People, vehicles, other animals or disease can all drastically shorten an animal’s life. In the Huron Valley area, the Humane Society of Huron Valley offers emergency pet rescue. Emergency pet rescue is a life saver for animals that are sick or hurt. The devoted staff works twenty four hours a day, seven days a week rescuing needy or suffering animals. It’s important to understand that this service is not for healthy strays who need a home. This is only for animals that are sick or injured and will most likely not survive without medical intervention. This valuable service has saved the lives of many animals. These animals, once recovered, have, in turn, enriched another’s life by becoming a faithful and loving pet.

Of course it would be nice to be able to know that each animal, when it’s born, will have a loving and forever home, but sadly that isn’t the case. Some are not wanted at all and others wear out their welcome when they grow up and aren’t “cute” anymore. They instead become work. Because these animals can’t take care of themselves, our help is needed. Thankfully, the Humane Society works diligently to provide compassionate care to all animals. That’s something that each and every one of these animals deserves.
