Outsiders might think that everyone living within the Chicago Metropolitan region will be housed in high rise apartments of some sort or another and live in an environment that is not totally conducive to pet ownership – especially cats or dogs that really do need to spend some of their time out of doors. While the inner city may not be ideal for active pets, this is not so for Chicagoland as a whole and many of the residents have at least one pet- usually a cat or a dog (or even both). From a pet’s birth onwards, their owners take on duties and responsibilities to ensure the well being and happiness of their pet(s). Where are the general clinics located, what are their regular hours and do they provide 24 hour emergency service? The responsible pet owner will know all the answers to such questions.

Our pet’s bodies may look different from ours but their anatomy is not all that different and, logically, they deserve the same the same level of medical consultation, diagnostics, treatment and recovery care as we do.
