Bringing groceries in from your vehicle can be quite the hassle. Wrestling with over-packed bags, locating the right key for the front door and balancing the drinks, all at the same time, can be difficult. Carrying multiple drinks in a bag could cause the bottles to crack against each other and break the glass, or shake up the carbonation. The 6 pack carrier is a perfect remedy.

Purpose
The 6 pack carrier is a compact way to carry six drinks at once, such as the following:

  • Soda
  • Water
  • Milk
  • Condiments

Ultimately, a majority of items can be packed in sixes. Besides carrying and holding multiple drinks/items at once, there are additional purposes of six pack carriers.

Advantages
If drinks come in the six pack carriers, it is easier to determine if the individual bottles have been tampered with. Also, buying in bulk typically results in lower overall costs than buying individually. Additionally, it declines environmental impact with less packaging. Six pack carriers also make it more difficult for theft of individual bottles.

Because of their compactness, the bottle/can(s) have more stability, and are less likely to be shook up or have damaged bottles/cans. Having drinks in a pack of six also allows the packs to be transported in mass quantities easier, so they can be stored more effectively and stacked easier. They can also be more efficiently moved from humid, hot or cold areas in volume.

Details
A 6 pack carrier can be made from plastic fiberboard, cardboard, wood or shrink wrap. They are designed to hold the weight of the liquid distributed evenly for the purpose of balance. They come in a variety of colors, shapes, and thicknesses. Some types of carriers have a bottom on them, and other are connected in the shape of rings made from plastic.

A more recent type of carrier connects the drinks at the top with enclosed caps. Some are made from collapsible cardboard. Others are drinks shrink wrapped together. Most styles come with handles for easy and convenient carrying; shrink wrap being an exception. Some packs are recyclable, and/or made from recyclable materials.
